One click from the Chrome Web Store. Sign in with your Google account. No mic or speaker settings.
Open your Google Meet or Teams call
Click the SottMeet icon. Pick your language and the language of the meeting. On Teams, join in Chrome and click Allow on Teams once.
Press Enable and talk
They hear your words in their language about a second later. You hear them in yours. Subtitles appear for both.

Questions
Does Google Meet have real-time translation?
Yes, but limited. Google Meet's built-in speech translation works between English and French, German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish, and only on paid Google AI or Workspace plans. SottMeet adds real-time voice translation for any pair of 19 languages on any Google account.
Does the other person need to install anything?
No. Only you install SottMeet. Everyone else joins Google Meet as usual and hears the translated voice.
Which languages can I use?
You can speak and be heard in 19 languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay, Filipino, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Catalan, Russian, Arabic and Hebrew. Incoming speech is detected automatically across 70+ languages.
Is SottMeet free?
Your first 5 minutes are free with no card. Add a card for up to 30 free minutes in total — adding a card does not charge you. After that it is prepaid by the minute: US$10 buys about 65 minutes.
How fast is the translation?
The translation starts about a second after you finish a phrase. Short, clear sentences work best.
Is my meeting recorded?
No. Audio is translated in real time and discarded. We do not record or store your conversations.
Can only I hear the translation?
You hear the other person translated into your language, and they hear you translated into theirs. Nobody else in the call needs to do anything.
Does it work with Microsoft Teams or Zoom?
Microsoft Teams: yes, Teams on the web in Chrome (teams.microsoft.com and teams.live.com). The first time, click Allow on Teams in the SottMeet popup. The Teams desktop app is not supported, so join the meeting in Chrome. Zoom: not yet.
