Arabic ↔ French real-time voice translation for Google Meet and Teams
Short answer: Yes. SottMeet translates Google Meet and Microsoft Teams (web) calls between Arabic and French in real time, by voice, in both directions and directly, without going through English, with live subtitles for both sides.
For Arabic speakers working with French-speaking partners, for example between North Africa or the Middle East and France, Belgium, Switzerland or Canada, and the other way round. You speak Arabic and the other side hears natural French about a second later, and you hear their French in Arabic, with subtitles for both sides. It translates directly between the two, works in Google Meet and Microsoft Teams on the web, and only you install it.
What Google Meet and Teams offer for Arabic ↔ French
Neither platform translates Arabic ↔ French by voice: Google Meet's speech translation always needs English and doesn't include Arabic, and Arabic isn't one of Teams Interpreter's nine languages. Both offer only text captions on paid plans.

Tips for Arabic ↔ French meetings
- Direct, not through English. SottMeet translates Arabic ↔ French directly, so nothing is lost in an extra English step. Neither side needs to speak English.
- Dialects and standard Arabic. SottMeet listens to Arabic as people actually speak it, and its Arabic voice uses standard Arabic. Speakers who switch between Darija and French mid-sentence come through best with short sentences in one language at a time.
- Tu or vous. Arabic doesn't mark formality the same way, so the French translation picks tu or vous from context. Using Monsieur or Madame with surnames keeps the tone formal.
- Dates and currency. Name the month for deadlines (Arabic month names differ between the Maghreb and the Middle East), and say which currency you mean: dirhams, dinars or euros.
Example: what each side hears
A textile manufacturer in Morocco and a fashion brand in France plan a first order. An illustrative exchange. Each bubble shows what was said and, below it, what the other side hears and reads.
