Indonesian ↔ English real-time voice translation for Google Meet and Teams
Short answer: Yes. SottMeet translates Google Meet and Microsoft Teams (web) calls between Indonesian and English in real time, by voice and in both directions, with live subtitles for both sides, something neither Meet nor Teams does by voice for Indonesian.
For Indonesian teams in meetings with English-speaking clients, head offices and partners, and the other way round. You speak Indonesian and the other side hears natural English about a second later, and you hear their English in Indonesian, with subtitles for both sides. It works in Google Meet and Microsoft Teams on the web, and only you install it.
What Google Meet and Teams offer for Indonesian ↔ English
Neither platform translates Indonesian by voice: Google Meet's speech translation doesn't include Indonesian, and Indonesian isn't one of Teams Interpreter's nine languages. Meet shows Indonesian captions as text on Workspace plans; Teams can caption Indonesian speech but can't translate into Indonesian.

| Google Meet translated captions | Text only | Indonesian captions, shown as text. | Workspace Business Standard and above. Not on free Gmail. |
| Teams Interpreter agent | No | Indonesian isn't one of Interpreter's nine languages. | Microsoft Copilot license; listeners need a Microsoft 365 license. Not in Teams free. |
| Teams live translated captions | Text only | Indonesian speech can be captioned and translated into English, but Indonesian isn't a translation language, so English speech can't be shown in Indonesian. | Teams Premium or Microsoft Copilot (the organizer's license covers everyone). |

Tips for Indonesian ↔ English meetings
- Office English inside Indonesian. Work Indonesian often mixes in English words (meeting, deadline, follow up). That's normal, but say product names and key terms clearly once so they come through right.
- Anda or Bapak/Ibu. English has one “you”, so the Indonesian translation picks the form from context. Addressing people as Pak Budi or Bu Sari keeps the tone polite.
- Give dates, not “nanti”. Words like nanti (later) and segera (soon) are translated literally. For deadlines, say the day and date (Kamis, 14 November).
- Numbers and rupiah. Indonesian writes 1.500.000 where English writes 1,500,000, and juta and miliar amounts get long. Say the figure clearly and confirm it in the chat.
